Balenciaga, known for its quirky looks and establishing fashion trends, understands just how to get the internet buzzing. During Paris Fashion Week, the Spanish luxury company debuted handbags that resembled potato chip packets.

While some were disappointed, others resorted to posting funny comments. An Instagram user wrote, This literally just made me open a bag of Lays. Another one frowned upon the new collection and wrote, No inspiration. Others simply questioned the US-based chips company.

The strapless item, like the potato chips bag, features the Lays emblem on top. However, instead of the flavour name, Balenciaga is emblazoned smack in the centre. The bag's top zip opens to expose a silver foil-like inside lining. While some were dissatisfied, others responded with amusing responses. According to one Instagram user, "This actually just made me open a bag of Lays." Another snubbed the new collection, writing, "No inspiration." Others merely questioned the US-based chip manufacturer.

Balenciaga, known for stirring the pot in the fashion world, previously displayed its new collection in a muddy backdrop, with models walking on mud-coated runways. Kanye West, or Ye, made his runway debut with the collection, wearing a military-inspired ensemble with boots.
