The Spanish luxury label captured everyone's attention earlier this month when they debuted their Lays potato chip clutches—and now, their newest design is proving to be just as eye-catching. For starters, Balenciaga's latest tote-shaped creation includes an opera-length glove into which you insert your hand to carry the bag—handles are so last season! The accessory is designed to sit on your shoulder once your arm is sleeved in. Violet Grace Atkinson, a fashion expert, showcased the brand's design in a now-viral Instagram post on Oct. 25. In the short video, she picked up the piece from a table and slipped into it like a leather jacket. Violet's fans were divided by Balenciaga's design, with one commenter asking, "How do you retrieve?"
Another fan responded, "At least no one could steal it from you," to which another retorted, "OK, now we need one for the foot as well." The label's latest look is fresh off the runway at Paris Fashion Week, where Balenciaga debuted the spring/summer 2023 collection on Oct. 2. Frito Lays chip bags were also unveiled at the same event, with models clutching the bags so tightly that they almost went unnoticed. Of course, this isn't the first time Balenciaga has wowed the fashion world with incredible designs.
Kim Kardashian wore a polarising face mask to the 2021 Met Gala, pairing it with a black bodysuit that she layered underneath a matching dress tee and jersey boots. Kim's daring look complemented her BDSM-inspired outfits she had worn in the days leading up to the event. Kim has remained faithful to Balenciaga Creative Director Demna's creations. She even stood in for the designer when she couldn't attend the Paris Fashion Week presentation, wearing a daring look from the new collection.
