Dabagh created his first reusable tote bag by hand, using up to 95 single-use plastic bags. He first transported the plastic bags to his workshop and cut them into strips, as stated in the video. The components are then fused together to produce a single continuous woven fabric. The components are wound onto a spool before being sent to the sewing machines.
According to Debagh, it takes 98 single-use plastic bags to make one trendy aNYbag. The company works with elementary schools, packaging companies, supermarkets, and even ordinary people to collect used plastic bags. According to data, the company collects over 588,000 single-use plastic bags in a single calendar year.
